About This Initiative
Hello and welcome to my website!

My name is Sahira Kochhar, and I’m just your average sixteen-year-old with a passion for blogging and psychology. For quite some time, I wanted to make mental health a more open topic for discussion, especially as many have yet to realise its importance.

As somebody who was born and raised in India, I am more than aware of the long-held taboo in a lot of societies - even my own - surrounding the subject of mental health. After observing how the topic is still tiptoed around, I decided that it was time for things to change - and that’s how the idea was born.

Since I have personally witnessed how stigma has prevented a great many adolescents from reaching out, I aimed to create a platform to raise awareness about mental health issues and serve as a safe space for them to share their experiences and perspectives. Originally created for a school project, this blog is now a stand-alone initiative and one that I decided to continue due to the importance of educating the population about mental health.

Hence, I want to help shatter the stigma before it costs us any more lives - and your contribution would be invaluable.
After all, as Mahatma Gandhi once said, you must be the change that you wish to see in the world.
